Indian chef Manav Tuli, formerly of Chaat at Rosewood Hong Kong, has collaborated with Jia Group to open Leela, a modern indian restaurant nestled in lee garden's three at causeway bay.
We opted the lunch set which came as "Tiffin box", included starter& grills, main and dessert. As for starters, got the 'boneless masala chicken wings' & Amritsari prawns bhaja!
Generally speaking, thought the lime and chilli chutney seasonings were quite complement with the fried prawns. Friend had the chicken wings and said the skin of the chicken wings was incredibly crispy which served with the sweet and sour flavour of kokum berry and tamarind glaze.
Also, for mains we got smoked butter chicken and saoji lamb curry. Texture of the butter chicken was tender enough, the aroma smoky was pretty light and the sweetness flavour of the caramelised tomato was rather sweet for me. Last, but not the least, the saoji lamb curry wasn't spicy as expected and texture was also tender.
Besides, steamed rice, naan bread and vegetables were served with the mains too. Loved the charcoal aroma of the naan bread and seasonal vegetables such as mushrooms and the peas were good too.
